This way you can use the USB board power instead of an external power source. The trinket is very limited in output power, about 500ma which should be about 50 neopixels max depending on colors used. "On Trinket M0 the USB or BAT pins will give you direct power from the USB port or battery." This way you can power a 5V neopixel strip with USB power directly. Trinket M0 Circuit Python Neopixel Learn Guide: The guide recommends setting pixel_pin = board.A1 in the code example. Trinket M0 Circuit Python Learn Guide: You'll need this one for looking up the pinout names for your board. I plug in the Trinket, the red light turns on and off (nothing is attached to the trinket), and no 'new hardware found' alert, or sound happens. You'll want to find an example for 7.3.2 which most learn guides have been updated for. I have it set to the right programmer and device, but the issue, inherently, is the fact that my PC will NOT recognize the hardware. So any old example code you might have tried using with the newer 7.3.2 would likely fail. The code to interface with neopixels has changed since then. ![]()
